Businesswoman Kim Reed Announced as ITG Brands' New President And CEO
ITG Brands is a tobacco manufacturing company in the U.S. and is the third-largest one in the country. According to an announcement made about a week ago, Kim Reed is going to be named president and the chief executive officer from the 1st of June.
ITG sells cigarettes, cigars, and has quite a broad portfolio overall which includes e-vapor brands as well. Brands that are associated with ITG are Maverick, Kool, Winston, USA Gold cigarettes, Salem, Backwoods and Phillies cigars, Dutch Masters, and blu electronic cigarettes.
She is currently a member of ITG Brand's executive team for 2 years as the executive vice president of Sales and will now be contributing even more to ITG's purpose and the main goal of ensuring that their products and services can promote smoking that is less harmful than other products like combustible cigarettes.
Kim Reed is going to be responsible for overseeing all of the operations taking place in the country and all of the employees as well.
Moreover, Reed will also have the role of establishing the company as a market leader in sales of mass-market cigars and factory manufactured cigarettes. And to lead an even more progressive sales organization of over 1,000 employees working at ITG Brands who help generate $3 billion in net revenue.
About the promotion, Kim Reed says that she is honored to accept the role and she thanks Oliver Kutz for acting as a great leader and partner who helped create a fantastic and talented team.
Moreover, she shared that she is very excited to engage across all aspects of her job and the business and to build ITG Brands' existing momentum to further accelerate growth.
Oliver Kutz who's position Kim Reed will be taking will move on the become the Cluster General Manager Ukraine and Central Europe for Imperial Brands.
Some Information About Kim Reed
Reed studied at Wichita State University from 1985 to 1989 where she completed her Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) Field of Study Marketing.
She has previously worked at many other sales organizations and major consumer brands before she started working at ITG Brands. She worked at:
- The Kellogg Company as a General Manager of U.S. Sales.
- She served many roles at Pepsi Bottling Group throughout her experience here of over 17 years.
- She was a member of the board of CALIBR.
- And she serves as a part of the Executive Leadership Council where she is the Chair of the Manufacturer's Convenience Distributor Association,
And lastly, Kim Reed is one of the top women in convenience by Convenience Store News and has also been the top woman executive by Progressive Grocer twice.
